1. Early Life and Education:
Denzel Hayes Washington Jr. was born on December 28, 1954, in Mount Vernon, New York. He grew up in a family with a strong interest in the arts, as his mother, Lennis, was a beauty parlor owner, and his father, Denzel Sr., was a Pentecostal minister. Despite their modest means, his parents supported his interests in the arts and encouraged him to pursue his dreams.
