Acting Definition: Headshot Reproduction.
Headshot reproduction, also known as duplication, is the conversion of headshot images into marketing materials, such as an 8×10 photograph, an actor postcard or an actor business card. An actor can then use them for in-person marketing opportunities, such as auditions, networking and meetings with talent agents.
In many instances, the headshot photographer not only takes the photos but also offers to reproduce the images as well. However, this may not be the most cost-efficient method for actors, since headshot photographers specialize in photography, not necessarily headshot reproduction. Another option actors can choose is to go to a headshot reproduction company that specializes in mass-producing actor headshots.
