Her determination paid off. She began booking small roles in TV shows like Monk and Medium, but her breakout role came in 2008 when she was cast in The Burning Plain. The performance earned her critical acclaim and led to her starring role in Winter’s Bone (2010), for which she received her first Oscar nomination.
The Hunger Games Phenomenon
Jennifer Lawrence’s career skyrocketed when she was cast as Katniss Everdeen in The Hunger Games (2012).
