Who Is Zach Braff?
Zach Braff is an actor, writer and director best known for playing Dr. John “J.D.” Dorian on the television comedy Scrubs.
He also wrote, directed and starred in Garden State. In T-Mobile commercials, Braff often plays the slightly skeptical or confused half of the duo while Faison enthusiastically explains the benefits of Home Internet.
Who Is Donald Faison?
Donald Faison is an actor known for playing Dr. Christopher Turk on Scrubs, as well as roles in Clueless and Remember the Titans.
Faison and Braff are also close friends in real life, which gives their T-Mobile commercials an easy chemistry that would be difficult to manufacture with two unrelated performers.
Why Do Braff and Faison Work So Well Together?
The campaign benefits from decades of shared comic timing.
Braff and Faison know how to interrupt one another, react quickly and play contrasting personalities without making the dialogue feel overly rehearsed.
T-Mobile has repeatedly built Home Internet commercials around that chemistry.
