    Andrew Garfield is a British-American actor known for his performances in film, television, and theater. He was born on August 20, 1983, in Los Angeles, California, but he was raised in England. Garfield initially gained recognition for his role in the drama film “Boy A” (2007), for which he received a BAFTA Award for Best Actor.

    He became internationally famous for portraying Peter Parker/Spider-Man in the superhero films “The Amazing Spider-Man” (2012) and its sequel “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” (2014), directed by Marc Webb.

    Aside from his work in blockbuster films, Garfield has garnered critical acclaim for his roles in various independent films and theater productions. He received an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Eduardo Saverin in “The Social Network” (2010). He has also starred in films such as “Hacksaw Ridge” (2016), “Silence” (2016), and “Under the Silver Lake” (2018).
