Gosling began his career as a child actor on the Disney Channel’s Mickey Mouse Club and then transitioned to television acting before making his breakthrough in film.

Some of his notable film roles include, “The Notebook” (2004),  “Half Nelson” (2006), for which he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of a troubled inner-city schoolteacher, “La La Land” (2016), a musical romantic comedy-drama in which he starred alongside Emma Stone, earning him another Academy Award nomination for Best Actor, and “Drive” (2011).

Here are some notable quotes by Ryan Gosling:

    1. “I’ve learned it’s important not to limit yourself. You can do whatever you really love to do, no matter what it is.”
    2. “I’m attracted to films that have strong female characters because there are strong female characters in my life.”
    3. “I’ve learned it’s important not to limit yourself. You can do whatever you really love to do, no matter what it is.”
    4. “There’s no such thing as talent; you just have to work hard enough.”
    5. “I think women are better than men. They are stronger, more evolved. You can tell especially when you have daughters and you see their early stages, they are just leaps and bounds beyond boys immediately.”
    6. “Sometimes I think women are lucky because they can develop in ways that men can’t. The old boys become the old boys, but women have an ability to reinvent themselves emotionally and psychologically, that’s not a skill set that men have.”
    7. “I think it’s important to make movies that touch people’s emotions. It’s important to make people feel something and to let them see things they wouldn’t otherwise see in their regular lives.”
    8. “You know when you watch The Notebook and you see Ryan Gosling and you think he’s that romantic? That’s not Ryan Gosling. You can see in his face that he’s not a guy who’s going to sweep you off your feet. The Notebook was just one role that I took, but it wasn’t me. I’m not like that in real life.”
    9. “I think art is the only thing that’s spiritual in the world. And I refuse to be forced to believe in other people’s interpretations of God. I don’t think anybody should be. No one person can own the copyright to what God means.”
    10. “It’s easy to fall into the trap of believing all the hype that’s written about you… Who knows? In a couple of years, you might find me in the loony bin!”
