Who Sings the Amazon Prime Day Commercial Song?
The singer is Janelle Monáe, the Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and actress known for her distinctive mixture of funk, R&B, pop and futuristic visual style.
Amazon uses Monáe’s “Make Me Feel” to give the commercial an immediate burst of rhythm and confidence.
The song was originally released on Monáe’s Dirty Computer album.
Is Janelle Monáe the Woman in the Commercial?
No reliable source reviewed for the campaign identifies Janelle Monáe as the actress playing the café worker.
Her connection to the advertisement is the music.
This distinction is important because song credits in commercial databases are sometimes mistaken for on-camera acting credits.
The woman featured in the café scene has not been publicly identified by name.
What Is the “Big Deal Feeling”?
“Big Deal Feeling” is the creative idea behind Amazon’s 2026 Prime Day campaign.
Instead of simply presenting lists of discounted products, Amazon attempts to dramatize the emotional rush shoppers can experience when they find an unexpectedly good deal.
In the café spot, an ordinary employee encounters that feeling and suddenly experiences her workplace like a stage.
The music, lighting and performance all become bigger as her excitement builds.
Who Is the Actress?
The actress appearing in the prominent café version of the campaign has not been publicly named in reliable advertising credits.
She appears to be a professional commercial performer rather than a celebrity spokesperson.
Amazon has frequently used this approach, mixing celebrity-led campaigns with lifestyle actors whose identities are not always disclosed publicly.
Acting Breakdown
The performance is highly physical.
The actress begins in a relatively naturalistic style before gradually embracing the commercial’s fantasy. Her posture, facial expressions and movement become increasingly confident as the soundtrack takes over.
This progression allows the audience to see the “Big Deal Feeling” instead of merely hearing Amazon explain it.
The result resembles a short music video more than a traditional retail advertisement.
