Who Are Karl Urban and Antony Starr?
Karl Urban portrays Billy Butcher, the relentless leader determined to stop corrupt superheroes in The Boys.
Antony Starr plays Homelander, the terrifyingly powerful leader of The Seven.
Their rivalry is one of the defining relationships in the Prime Video series, making them especially recognizable choices for an Amazon Prime campaign.
What Happens in “Fight for Sore Eyes”?
The commercial uses the familiar world of The Boys and introduces a Prime delivery into the action.
The product is eye drops—an intentionally ordinary solution inserted into a world of superpowers, violence and extraordinary physical abilities.
The joke works because Amazon refuses to separate its streaming and shopping businesses. Instead, the commercial makes them part of the same story.
Acting Breakdown
Urban and Starr do not perform like conventional spokesmen. They remain grounded in the heightened dramatic style of The Boys.
That consistency is essential. If either actor acknowledged the advertisement too strongly, the crossover would lose much of its humor.
Instead, Amazon treats Prime delivery as though it naturally belongs inside the show’s universe.
