Latest CarShield Commercial
Commercial: “Out of Warrantyville”
Celebrity: Blake Shelton
Brand: CarShield
Campaign Focus: Vehicle protection after the manufacturer’s warranty expires
Released: May 19, 2026
One of CarShield’s prominent 2026 commercials is “Out of Warrantyville,” starring country music star and television personality Blake Shelton. The humorous spot imagines what can happen when a vehicle is no longer protected by its original warranty, including an exaggerated scenario in which the car begins acting almost “possessed.”
Shelton brings his familiar laid-back personality and dry humor to the campaign, making the warning about expensive vehicle repairs feel more like a comedy sketch than a traditional warranty advertisement. He has become one of the newest recognizable faces in CarShield’s large celebrity lineup.

This list continues to evolve because CarShield regularly releases new television and streaming advertisements. That is why some viewers recognize completely different CarShield spokespeople depending on which campaign they recently saw.
Who Is in the New CarShield Commercial?
There is no single actor appearing in every new CarShield commercial. In 2026, CarShield has been running multiple campaigns simultaneously.
Among the most prominent recent faces is Blake Shelton. The country music star has appeared in CarShield commercials including “Possessed” and “What Are You Doing.”
CarShield has also continued using Stephen A. Smith, whose recognizable ESPN-style personality makes him particularly effective in commercials built around strong opinions, dramatic warnings and high-energy delivery.
Other recent campaigns have featured Dr. Phil McGraw, Mario Lopez, Ice-T, John Kruk, Junior Caminero and several baseball personalities.
Because CarShield frequently introduces new commercials, viewers searching for the “new CarShield commercial actor” may be referring to different advertisements.
Ice-T – CarShield’s Most Recognizable Commercial Star
Ice-T is arguably the celebrity most strongly associated with CarShield commercials.
The rapper and longtime Law & Order: Special Victims Unit actor has appeared in a large number of CarShield campaigns, sometimes by himself and frequently alongside Vivica A. Fox.
His CarShield appearances have included commercials such as “Coverage Court,” “Wrench Drop,” “CarShield Era,” “Your Worst Nightmare,” “Morgue,” “Mechanic Shop,” “Covered Repairs,” “No Mystery” and others.
Ice-T works particularly well as a commercial spokesperson because his persona combines authority with humor. He can deliver a warning about an expensive vehicle repair in a way that feels serious while still participating in exaggerated comedic situations.
Acting Breakdown
Ice-T rarely needs to overplay the comedy. His commercial performances generally rely on controlled delivery, direct eye contact and his naturally recognizable voice. The humor often comes from placing his tough, composed persona inside an absurd situation.
That contrast makes him immediately memorable.
Vivica A. Fox – The Female Actress in the CarShield Commercials
Vivica A. Fox is another longtime CarShield spokesperson and is frequently the answer viewers are looking for when they search, “Who is the woman in the CarShield commercial?”
The veteran actress has appeared both independently and alongside Ice-T.
Her CarShield work includes campaigns such as “Coverage Court,” “Police Department,” “Gossiping,” “Morgue” and “Mechanic Shop.”
Fox gives the campaign a different energy from Ice-T. Her performances tend to be warmer, more animated and conversational, creating an effective contrast when the two appear together.
Acting Breakdown
Vivica A. Fox uses facial expression, vocal inflection and conversational rhythm to make direct advertising language feel more like dialogue. Her years of film and television experience are particularly visible in the ease with which she moves between scripted sales information and comedy.
Blake Shelton
Country music superstar and television personality Blake Shelton has become one of the most visible newer members of the CarShield advertising lineup.
Shelton appears in several campaigns, including “Out of Warrantyville,” “Possessed” and “What Are You Doing.”
His casting allows CarShield to borrow from the easygoing personality audiences already know from Shelton’s music career and television appearances.
Rather than presenting him as a traditional spokesperson standing in front of a camera, the commercials frequently place Shelton inside comedic situations involving vehicles, repairs or the consequences of being unprotected.
Acting Breakdown
Shelton’s strongest commercial quality is naturalness. His relaxed delivery prevents the advertisements from feeling overly scripted, while his celebrity familiarity immediately attracts attention.
Stephen A. Smith
Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith brings his unmistakable high-energy delivery to a growing collection of CarShield commercials.
His campaigns include “Let Me Be Very Clear,” “Championship Defense,” “A Tale of Two Drivers,” “Gamble,” “Living Dangerously” and “Why Stephen A. Smith Rides With CarShield.”
Smith is an especially natural fit for advertising because his television personality is built around emphatic opinions, urgency and persuasion — exactly the characteristics needed for commercials warning motorists about potentially expensive repairs.
Acting Breakdown
Unlike a conventional actor disappearing into a character, Stephen A. Smith essentially performs an amplified version of his established public persona. His pacing, emphasis and dramatic pauses make otherwise ordinary warranty information feel urgent.

Mario Lopez
Mario Lopez is another familiar celebrity appearing in CarShield advertising.
The actor and television host has appeared in commercials including “Going Up,” “The Breakdown” and “Life Happens.”
Lopez has decades of television experience, giving him the polished delivery required for commercials that combine explanation with entertainment.
Why the Casting Works
Lopez has a friendly and highly recognizable television persona. Instead of communicating danger or urgency, his presentation tends to make CarShield coverage appear simple, accessible and familiar.
Dr. Phil McGraw
Dr. Phil McGraw appears in CarShield advertisements including “Wake Up” and “The Last Time.”
The campaign makes use of the personality viewers already associate with Dr. Phil: direct advice delivered with certainty.
That persona fits neatly with CarShield’s advertising message. Instead of giving life advice, Dr. Phil warns motorists about the financial consequences of waiting until after a major vehicle repair to think about protection.
Drew Brees
Former NFL quarterback Drew Brees has also appeared in CarShield commercials, including “Pep Talk” and “Next Call.”
Brees brings credibility from professional sports and a calm, trustworthy speaking style.

CarShield’s Baseball Commercial Actors
Baseball has become an important part of CarShield’s advertising strategy.
The company has featured a growing group of current and former professional baseball players and personalities, including Eric Byrnes, Andruw Jones, John Kruk, Junior Caminero, Ryan Mountcastle, Oswaldo Cabrera and J.C. Escarra.
Among the baseball-themed CarShield campaigns are:
- “America’s Pastime” – Eric Byrnes
- “Old Heads” – Eric Byrnes and Andruw Jones
- “Interrogation” – Eric Byrnes and John Kruk
- “Transmission Problem” – John Kruk
- “I Ride With CarShield” – Junior Caminero
- “The Heckler” – Ryan Mountcastle
- “Being Watched / Somebody’s Watching” – Oswaldo Cabrera and J.C. Escarra
This sports-heavy approach allows CarShield to reach audiences that may already recognize these personalities from baseball broadcasts and Major League Baseball.

Why Does CarShield Use So Many Celebrities?
CarShield’s advertising depends heavily on recognition.
A vehicle service contract is not inherently an exciting television product. By using well-known actors, musicians, television hosts and athletes, CarShield can attract attention before explaining the service.
Different celebrities also allow the company to reach different audiences.
Ice-T and Vivica A. Fox bring film and television recognition. Blake Shelton attracts country music audiences. Stephen A. Smith reaches sports viewers. Drew Brees adds football credibility, while the company’s large group of baseball personalities helps reach baseball fans.
From a casting perspective, CarShield is an interesting example of using an established performer’s existing persona rather than asking that performer to create an entirely new character.
What Is CarShield?
CarShield is a company that markets vehicle service contracts designed to help eligible customers manage certain covered repair costs after a manufacturer’s warranty has expired.
The company has become particularly recognizable because of the volume and variety of its television advertising.
Instead of relying on a single campaign or spokesperson, CarShield frequently rotates commercials featuring celebrities, athletes, mechanics, customers and traditional commercial actors.
For official information about its coverage and services, consumers should consult CarShield directly rather than relying on an advertisement alone.
