Before breaking into Hollywood, Liam Hemsworth’s most significant role in Australia came from the TV show Neighbours, which has helped launch the careers of several notable Australian actors, including his brother Chris. Liam appeared on the show in 2007 for a short period, playing Josh Taylor. His time on the soap opera helped him build a reputation as a rising star in the Australian entertainment industry.

“It was a great experience, but also one that changed my life. To be part of a global phenomenon like The Hunger Games was a huge opportunity. It’s a character that a lot of people could relate to, and that meant a lot to me.”

The success of The Hunger Games catapulted Liam into international stardom. The films, which were part of a four-part series, showcased his abilities and brought him into the spotlight next to A-list actors like Jennifer Lawrence.

His role as Gale, a loyal and courageous friend in the dystopian world, set the tone for many of the action-driven roles that followed.
